“Although the world is full of suffering, it is full also of the overcoming of it.” -Helen Keller

Reminded today of how bad ass humans can be. Amidst all the suffering and vulnerability, there’s also this magical ability to overcome. We’re about 6 months out from the start of the pandemic crisis, and there’s a lot of pain right now. A lot of grief and relapse and betrayal going on. Yet, I also see fiery resilience.

This life is unbearably painful. The kind of pain that can make death seem like a viable option. If I could erase it all I would. But surviving through it can also forge a path for a warrior to be born, who will fight with reckless abandon to see life and hope and newness and healing happen in the hardest places.

After it all, our bodies wake each morning, choosing life.

Over and over.

Overcoming.

What a mystery.
